Women in Trucking Announces Growth Reaches 1000

Women in Trucking Announces Growth Reaches 1000 Women in Trucking, an organization with the mission of promoting "the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments and minimize obstacles faced by women in trucking" has just announced their membership has reached 1000.

Their website at http://www.womenintrucking.org provides a wealth of information that is applicable to women employed or seeking employment in the trucking industry. Interestingly, they have about 200 men that are members.

A visit to their website revealed a significant number of Corporate sponsors as well as several stories that related to trucking issues in general and to women's issues in particular. One story about the urine smell that is often encountered when walking through a truck stop parking lot was well done and pointed out an issue that is of concern to many. Another article about truck idling laws was also worth a read and again offered a trucker's perspective on a familiar issue. Women in Trucking will have a display set up at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky later this month as well as displays and exhibits at a number of other truck shows throughout the country.

TruckerToTrucker wants to congratulate the women (and men) that have reached this 1000 member milestone and invite them to take a walk through our store and peruse our offerings.
