Buyers should also confirm wheel end type, rim style, and whether the dolly uses a stationary or steerable fifth wheel, because those details affect parts compatibility, tracking behavior, and intended application.

A fixed single-axle dolly is a practical choice for fleets that want a simple, rugged setup with fewer moving parts. Fixed-axle designs are easier to maintain than more complex steerable configurations, and they are widely used in controlled route environments. The tradeoff is that tire scrub can be higher in tight maneuvering, so buyers running in crowded urban yards or making frequent sharp turns should inspect tire wear patterns, suspension condition, and alignment closely.
