About Des Moines, IA - MHC Internet Truck Sales
The crossroads of America is a good place for a truck dealer, and MHC knows it. In December 2025, MHC Kenworth – Des Moines opened a new, nearly 95,000 square foot dealership in Ankeny, near where I-35 and I-80 meet. According to MHC, it's the only full-service commercial truck dealership in the area that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Inside, it's built for big work. The temperature-controlled service department has 37 bays, including two CNG bays, a wash bay and an overhead hoist. Sales, parts and service all share one roof. The store sells new Kenworth trucks and all-makes used trucks, offers DPF cleaning and mobile maintenance, and has certified service for PACCAR, Cummins, CAT, Eaton and Allison.
The drivers lounge has a flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, private showers and restrooms, and a washer and dryer. That's handy when you're waiting on a repair halfway through a cross-country run.
About Des Moines and Ankeny
Ankeny is one of Iowa's fastest-growing cities, and it's real equipment country. John Deere has a major manufacturing plant right in town. Des Moines is a quick drive south, home of the Iowa State Fair every August, famous for its butter cow and food on a stick. The East Village and Court Avenue districts downtown have plenty of good places to eat. Running east on I-80? You're about 2½ hours from the Iowa 80 Truckstop in Walcott.
