Don't let the name fool you. MHC Kenworth – Charlotte is just across the state line in Fort Mill, South Carolina, near where I-77 meets Highway 21. It's one of the newest and biggest stores in the MHC network. It opened in late 2023 after a $26 million investment, and it was MHC's first dealership in South Carolina.

The numbers on this place are impressive: a 90,000 square foot building, 33 service bays, an expanded parts warehouse and a temperature-controlled service area, which is a big deal during a Carolina summer. It's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They sell new Kenworth and Isuzu trucks and service all makes, with alignment, DPF cleaning, CNG service and mobile maintenance. Techs are certified on PACCAR, Cummins, CAT, Eaton and Allison.

Drivers will appreciate the lounge, which has an 86-inch TV, free Wi-Fi, showers, and even a washer and dryer, so you can catch up on laundry while your truck's in the shop.

Fort Mill has grown fast but still has a small-town feel. Carowinds, the theme park that sits right on the NC/SC border, is minutes away, and the Anne Springs Close Greenway offers miles of trails if you need to stretch your legs. Charlotte is a short drive north on I-77, with the NASCAR Hall of Fame uptown. Charlotte Motor Speedway is about a 30-minute drive up in Concord.
