More Information on Container Trailers

Company owners, drivers or owner-operators who are interested in used or new shipping container trailers can view our listings of trailers from top brands including Hyundai, Jindo, Conex and Stoughton. Each listing includes a full color photo as well as a wealth of information including location, price, contact number, length and condition.

Container trailers are often placed on the back of cab and chassis trucks for transportation from one place to another. They can be used to store almost anything. Some containers are even watertight! Some of our listings are for single containers, while other listings include multiple trailers that are identical in make, model and age. You may be able to get a better deal on container trailers by purchasing several of them at the same time.

Delivery of these containers is available. Many of them are rodent proof, which makes them a great option for long-term food storage. Some have a door on one end, while others have doors on each end. The most common container lengths are 20 feet and 40 feet. Many container trailers are constructed entirely of steel, but aluminum, plastic and wood may also be used in the manufacturing process. Containers constructed entirely of steel are the most durable, but they are also heavier and more susceptible to corrosion than other container materials.

Consider purchasing high-cube container trailers if you tend to haul or store items that are large and light. These trailers are usually available in 40 foot or 45 foot lengths, and are about a foot taller than standard container trailers. Almost all container trailers have specialized castings on each of the top and bottom corners. They have openings designed for twistlock fasteners so that the container can be picked up from the side, top or bottom.

Most container trailers are very similar, making it easy for them to be stacked on top of each other.
