Website Traffic Stats - Website 101

I hear it all the time, yep I have a website. Then I ask.....how much traffic do you have? uh I think we had 60 million hits last month....BS

The greatest thing about the web is accountability, even the most basic statistics programs can give you enough information to determine if your website is producing any benefit for your company or organization.

It's very simple to start with counting "unique visitors" toa site. This tells you how many individual visitors are coming to your website on a daily basis. Once that number is established, then we start looking at how many pages they view per visit. Next you need to market your website to increase these numbers, I know it sounds elementary, but there is a general consensus that once you have a website, it markets itself. hmmm. Website marketing is something every company large and small needsfor growth into the future. My mission is to steer those in my camp in the right direction, separate the BS from Truth....
